The Kumarajiva Project (a Khyentse Foundation initiative), in collaboration with Siddhartha’s Intent Canada and Siddhartha’s Intent India, invites you to a global gathering to celebrate Lhabab Düchen on Wednesday, October 27.
Lhabab Düchen is one of the four major Buddhist festivals commemorating the life of the Buddha. It celebrates the day when Shakyamuni Buddha returned to the human realm from the realm of the gods, where he had been giving teachings to his mother, who had been reborn there.
We are pleased to announce that in commemoration of this auspicious day, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche will bestow refuge and Bodhisattva vows and give a short teaching. Immediately after receiving the vows, we will have a global recitation of the Heart Sutra, The Sutra of the Three Heaps, and Samantabhadra’s King of Aspiration Prayers, in English, Chinese, and Sanskrit (texts will be shared on screen).
Chinese, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish translation will be available for the event.
